Here is a photo of the prototype custom made light box.
We used our standard snap frame extrusion for the uprights and laser cut the acrylic stand and cap on our flat bed laser cutter. The poster is held in place behind a 1mm clear PVC overlay.
To remove the poster from the light box, we supply a suction cap. The suction cap is pressed against the top edge of the PVC overlay. Once it is pressed into place, pull backwards and the PVC will slip out easily. Change the poster and simply bend the PVC to fit the curve of the light box and it will snap into place.
To crown it all, there are no tooling costs, we have all the material readily available and we can now make these curved light boxes as a standard item in sizes from A4 up to A2. The price works out very economically and they look great.
